Went for team building last week at Malacca. Before that, we dropped by KLIA to pick up colleagues from HongKong.
As for lunch, we had our meal at a nearby restaurant – Restoran Hoe Peng Seafood.
Here are the pictures of food that we took :
sea cucumber with mushroom
sweet sour fish
deep fried prawns
What’s sooo special about this restaurant is itsdecor. Instead of hanging menus on the wall, the boss has pictures of HongKong celebrities that came to his restaurant before…
Omg, Cecilia Cheung, Jordan Chan were there before.
Not forgetting Louis Koo, Beyond, Richie Ren
Alex Fong etc….

Been posting too much on Selangor/KL foods lately.
It’s not that i’m neglecting my hometown, but i can hardly find time to go back Ipoh lately.
Anyway, found a nice restaurant in Ipoh months ago… A’Shore Restaurant, da place where i had dinner with my family last Father’s Day.

Next, we had “Fu Yong” egg.

Affordable, delicious. I willl definately go back there again the next time i go back Ipoh….
ps: A Shore Restaurant , located at Jalan Dato Yeoh Cheang Lee.
Passed by NZX the other day and I saw this big banner of Ho Chak outside a restaurant.
Why not try it out since it was recommended by the famous food programme in Malaysia?
So, there I was, at Long Grill Fish @ NZX.

And I made a mistake by ordering the escargots. I still can’t belief I had “snails” for dinner. The outlook were already not tempting and they tasted like mushroom.
escargots @ RM 15
Next: crabs that were craps.
Grilled crab @ RM27.60
Needless to say…..
Went to Ali Cafe @ TTDI for the second time last week…

Celebrated Vic’s bufday last Friday at Tasting Room. I was told that Tasting Room serves good contemporary European cuisine. Every dishes in the menu come with a recommended wine.
tasting room, bangsar
My first trip there, it was abit hard for me to locate the Tasting Room as it’s located on 2nd floor. It would be easier if you look for Wine Cellar as Tasting Room is located just above the wine store.
Took some pictures before we startour meal:

the recommended wines, paired with the dishes
Here comes the foods. Personally I dun like mushroom, but i must say .. the luxurious mushroom soup that Jacq’s ordered was creamy and yummy! Even soup also can pair with wine. With additional RM17, she added a glass of Bodega Lurton Pinot Gris.
luxurius mushroom soup @ RM 16.50
Next, our Mr. Jan ordered Pasta Duo. A plate of pasta that came in 2 different colours, with the combination of squid-ink angel hair and green tea soba pasta. The scallops were BIG !!!
pasta duo @ 29.90
As for me, I ordered spaghetti carbonara. I must say that it’s the best carbonara I’ve ever had so far. The egg yoke sauce (which obviously is a raw egg) made the sauce creamier.
spaghetti carbonara @ RM26.90
Vic ordered pan seared lamb. I tried a piece of the meat and it was nicely cooked.
pan seared lamb @ RM45.90
We loved the foods that we ordered. Must try!!!
Happy Bufday Vic!!!
